I am Juliann Richardson and am majoring in Human Development and Family Relations, with a minor in Public Health. When I transferred to CU Denver, I struggled to find my place on such a big commuter campus. Participating in my first Alternative Break Trip, however, created a path for me to get more involved on campus. Since then I have been on two Alternative Break Trips, one of which I was a leader for. This year, I will be leading my second AB trip! and this year I am also a first-time PAL. I am really excited for all the new experiences and the knowledge and skills I’ll learn from them. When I’m not on campus, I snuggle with my cat, volunteer/work at The Bridge Project, and laugh (a lot!). Social justice, diversity, and community are the values that drive my life both on and off campus. In my future, I hope to work my way up towards a leadership role in a nonprofit working with underserved children.
